Title: Sourcing Shifter Bushings
Post by: 250SLFranco on August 12, 2017, 19:35:23
I need to replace the three shifter bushings for the automatic shifter on my 250SL.  They are accessed when pulling the shifter gate.  Does anyone have part numbers and vendor for these bushings?  Thank you (again) in advance.

Call the MB Classic Center in Irvine CA.  Tom Hanson will take good care of you.  Mention the Forum and you should get a discount.

use your regular Mercedes dealership parts dept. They are inexpensive, and free shipping

I ordered the ones from Mercedes Benz part # 112-268-01-50. The problem i have been running into is the bushings work for the front of the shift lever where it connects to the transmission lever but is not correct for the rear portion of the lever where it connects to the shifter lever. The bushing is too narrow to correctly work but the Mercedes catalogue shows both bushings being the same.
