Title: Taking it back
Post by: Rhinkel on August 10, 2017, 00:54:40
20 years ago my dad was in the process of restoring this beauty. He suffered an engine fire, said a few choice words, shut the hood, covered it and left it. Fast forward 20 years and the family home is sold after 45 plus years. The only item left is the car. I had I towed to my house and I started the process of repairing and restoring. 15 months later, here it is.

Thank you all for this wonderful board. I was able to repair, restore and finish this beautiful Pagoda with your help  and make a memorable birthday gift for an 80 year old ! It's got a dark blue soft top and a hard top not pictured. I still need to replace the seat belts and charge the AC but are they ever really finished.

Helluva nice job all round! The leather looks great. You should have showed us the phoenixed engine bay!
Your dad must be happy to say the least.

Really nice looking car.  Nice job!   If your seat belts are original Kangol Magnetics they can be restored.

These guys are pretty well known:   http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/
