At this time of year in Australia many Grey Nomads head north. My wife and I are no exception. After building a camper over the past year in addition to another VW project, we finally got it finished and have travelled about 2000km (1200miles) north right through the centre of Australia to the western side of Queensland in the Gulf of Carpentaria and set up camp for a few days. Sunny and a mild temperature of 30 celsius (80f)
We will then move over to the east coast for a couple of months before heading home in September in time for me to get to PUB
. This is just to reming the northerners that even in the middle of winter it can be warm in Australia

Garry,
great photos. I am expecting that you will duly document (photos and write ups) every trip made the camper. You may spare us details what will go on IN the camper though :D
BTW:I am devastated by your looks. Noticed that you wore PLASTIC glasses, while metal chrome ones would be more appropriate in your case. Please correct that for the Euro Event!!!

I was in that pub 27 years ago!

Colin,
It is a hoot of a pub and about as ocker (Oz) as you can get. Did you fly in and park at the front door then.
Stan, I was trying to match Tom Sargents... Mr PUB Virginia.
