My hood appears to be in great shape (no dents, warp, distortion) from the outside, but underneath, the sheetmetal seems to have very asymmetric separation from the frame.
At one point the frame seems to have a sharp crease touching the sheetmetal.
Any sense of what the cause of this?
Should this be fixed? If so, how?

Very nice paint runs in the base colour (black) on the underside of your hood (bonnet) :)
From factory, the hood was painted body colour on the underside (inside) but had less shine and coarser finish, than the hi-gloss polished outer body shell.
The paint runs remained fully visible (= original)

Wow. Interesting... Thank you!

Hi Kiheimatt,
I don't think you have to be concerned about the separation. I believe they are all like that and hood and frame is not supposed to touch there.

It looks to me like the car may have been bumped on the left front check the spot welds along the top inside of the left and right fender and see if they are the same?

Thank you! I was wondering if maybe the gap was OK... but it seemed odd that its so asymmetrical.
