Post by: neelyrc on May 15, 2017, 19:39:58
I received my emailed Pagoda Notes Volume 11 No. 2 today.  An enjoyable read!

Thanks Jon, Achim, Hans and all others involved for the effort and another great issue.  :)

Well ... yes
This type of (web) info is to my mind the most confusing type of "source"
A bit like Laurence Meredith's books or Haynes maintenance manuals for W113 cars. Use/read it at your own peril.
Some of the info is correct, some is confused re: time or detail, and some is plain wrong!

Although admittedly biased in this regard....! I must agree with my esteemed co-author. The information on the web site is quite confused/ confusing. We stuck with Engelen as the gold standard.

One thing we have found quite confusing is trying to tie some changes to VIN. The engine type changes are among them. We hope to put something together on that in a future issue. There are just too many small changes on the engine, and it gets really confused when looking at USA versus rest-of-world.
