Title: Auto box constant speed solenoid wiring
Post by: cfm65@me.com on April 26, 2017, 08:16:21
Hi Gents,
Please help. For the life of me, I cant figure out the wiring to the LH pressure. In the technical data, Joe says there should be 3 wires to the LH pressure switch.
1. From the R to L switch
2. One from the CSS to the L switch
3. ???
A previous A/H removed the small, medium and large connecting rings from the wires and the photos I have of the connecting block is not clear enough, in any case, I have a 2way (NOT three way) connecting block. I managed to sorted the 3 way solenoid.
Regards
Chris

Chris,
I am just working on these circuits now. The CSS circuit gets + from fuse 5 through a BLK/RED wire. The other connector has a GRN/ORN wire going to the Drive pressure switch on the left side of the transmission. From the same post on the Drive switch a cloth jacketed wire goes to the Reverse pressure switch on the right side of the transmission. None of these wires are using the 3 post connector block. The CSS sees the circuit closed when either of the 2 pressure switches makes ground.

Hi Radu,
Thank you very much.
Yep, that is how I've got mine. My colour coding is a little different(250SL). CSS have a Black/green+red tracer from 5. Black/green from CSS to LH pressure switch.
The botom line, only two wires to the LH switch, 1 from CSS and cloth covered wire from RH switch.
Much appreciated.
Regards
