Title: Arm Rest
Post by: ohoraherecaptain on April 14, 2017, 11:13:20
Wishing you guys a Happy Easter.
I still have not got very far with my arm-rest! Planning to have the interior re-done shortly and want to build within - or on the tray to construct an arm-rest. Not planning to use the seat fixtures and have scene one or two examples [see attached], but haven't yet found someone to build on - in London.
Any of you UK based Pagoda owners direct me towards someone who may be able to do this?
JOH.

JOH,

if I wanted to do this and lived in London UK I would contact Colin Ferns (he is a member here and is just outside London I think) I'm sure he would be able to point you in the right direction. Why not give him a ring. Here ---> https://www.colinferns.com

Good luck Dieter

PS if you are successful why not tell us all about it.

Happy Easter to you too, and to all as well!

@ the armrest:
obviosuly de gustibus not disputandum est, as they say
But why necessarily London?
They are many places they could make one for you. All you need is to send a piece of the woodwork to match with.

Another way to get it is to buy something like this and have a upholsterer to make the pad. But then, will the veneer be OK?http://www.ebay.de/itm/ABLAGEBOX-HOCH-W113-PAGODE-SL-WURZELHOLZ-HOLZ-RARITAT-/121922472540?hash=item1c63254a5c:g:B5YAAOSwr7ZW5Fiv

Have a look at what was done for my car, although I use the original small box

Thanks Stan.
Nice to have these images in order to illustrate what's possible.

Forget the arm rest cup holders are what you need! :) :)
No drilling necessary.

Hadn't seen these before.
Where did you get them?

Agree. Yes to cupholders, forget the armrest. I drive with my right hand, left arm rests on door. Hot here in Texas. Cupholders a must.
