Title: 66 230 in Southeast TN, USA
Post by: ChattanoogaJSB on April 11, 2017, 01:20:02
This is my first post.  A friend delivered his 230sl to me today, I worked on it last in 1999 - I was 19.  The plans are to drain the fuel and use this forum to see what advice I can find in the archives to get it running for short periods.  Brakes/cooling/clutch all are dry and I don't think the owner is going to choose to repair before selling it finally to someone who will give it the thorough refresh it needs.  I'll do what he chooses.  Thanks for checking out our photos!  She has some dings and rust underneath but shines up and gives me that '60's cache!

Benton,

First of all Welcome!!

You have found the right place for assistance. Use the search function (the one fourth from the left - in the string of items beginning with "Home" - it searches the entire forum. The search feature just under the logo will only search on the current major heading).

Love the color combo.

As you get more familiar with the car and have specific questions, ask away.

I did!  Thank you for directing me here, I didn't realize you were on both, sir!   8)

I've gotten it running and the brakes up BUT the clutch slave is pouring and won't bleed.  I'm off to post a technical thread on that topic...
