My '71 280sl restoration project returned to Brian Peters shop today from the paint shop. Brian took it to a high end shop for coating and saved us both some money by allowing them to prep and paint when it was conducive to their busy schedule. It definitely took a little longer to achieve but it looks like we got a great paint job and again, saved a little coin in the process.
Now we move to the reassembly process. All of the interior components, soft top, etc. are on hand and ready to go. All chrome work is complete and ready to install. Re-installation and complete detail of the engine bay will take some time but I remain optimistically patient.
These photos were taken earlier today, immediately upon its return from the paint shop. New body paint is 158 White Grey, top and wheel covers (not seen) are 040 Black.

Ed,
Are you going to paint the baffles of the battery and air filter black before you go too much into re-assembly?

Bob:
Good question. Yes, they will be black, hand painted, as was original.

Nice garage! I see an early 70's MGB, what else is hiding under the covers?

Did they have time to color sand and polish the paint? before you start assembling the car back together.
