My Bilstein front shock replacement kit included a rubber bush for each shock. When I took my old bilstein shocks out there was no rubber bush on the top of the rubber sleeve of the shock. Should this rubber busing be installed and does it go on top of the shock and below the body mounting point?
Thanks.

If you check the niemoller website there's an exploded view that does show that rubber being used. First (on top of the shock) it shows a smallish metal disc, then that rubber, then the wider, fdonut-shaped rubber and then the flat washer and nut. So it probably does go underneath the body metal.

Thanks, Cees.
