Title: Throttle return spring
Post by: alpina on March 12, 2017, 22:23:36
The BBB shows The throttle return spring (26) connected to the regulating shaft using the
Inner / hole closest to the firewall. However I cannot find anywhere showing which hole should be used on the metal bracket attached to the firewall. Is it also the one closest to the firewall? Or is it not important?

On my car there is only one hole in the lever and only one in the bracket on the firewall. Therefore, you doe not have "Die Qual der Wahl"

Hole position will effect accelerator pedal pressure needed. I would start off with the one closest to the firewall. As long as all your linkages and accel. pedal return to idle stop, you should be fine. Use the outer hole if you need more force to return everything to idle stop.
