Title: 1969 280 SL blue carpet

I have owned my 1969 Mercedes 280SL since 1980. I need to replace the driver’s side threshold carpet, but I am having trouble finding the correct color carpet. The color of the car is blue (not a dark blue, more of a medium blue or blue/gray). The carpet samples that I have received from GAT, GAHH, and World Upholstery are all the same-dark blue with black specs. The carpet in my Mercedes is a solid lighter blue or blue/gray.
     Could you please tell me if you know of a company that sells the kind of carpet that I am looking for?

I have 3 pieces of blue loop pile carpet that Mercedes sent me instead of the the square weave that my car had.  I purchased the carpet in the early 70s and it has never been used.  The blue color seems to be as you described but your blue might be faded from this "new" carpet.  I just hated to throw it away when somebody else might be able to use it.  It still has the Mercedes tags on it with the part numbers.  One piece is for the center console.  I do not know where the other two pieces might go.  Even if it is not the correct pieces, you might be able to salvage enough to cover what you want even if the pieces were not made for what you want to use it for.  You are welcome to it for the postage.  In other words, free.  If interested, just send me a message.

Just received the carpet from  MbPaul. The carpet color number on the tags is 5037. Hope this helps.
