Title: Hood Strap
Post by: johnm on January 08, 2017, 22:24:05

Hi can someone kindly advise what type of fastener is used to attach the hood strap to the hood? i.e. is it a screw, rivet etc. Also appreciate advise on how it attaches within the engine compartment. Thanks very much.. John

Each end is held in place by a metal plate. The one in the engine bay is fastened by one of the screws that holds the prop rod block in place.

 Thanks Dan
... Is the plate on the hood fastened with screws, a threaded bolt, or riveted. Its hard to tell looking at the two holes in the hood. J

Hi,

The metal plate is held to the hood by two sheetmetal screws. DIN 7981 4.2mm
