For those that have or may be looking for the small plastic fuse box, that is a nice little accessory in the tool roll. These come up from time to time on ebay from kcigermany for a buy it now price of ~US$20 plus shipping. I did a search the other day using just mercedes fuse and found a MB part from samstag sales for a but it now of US$5 plus shipping. There is another one out there (4504937371), but I suspect you can go over to the samstag site (they also sell tools) and find them.
Note: these include a set of fuses, but not the stubby ones.

Jonny,
Do you know where the stubby fuse can be purchased? I have also been looking for a 1 amp glass fuse for the radio. Any leads?
Thanks.

I believe the samll clear plastic fuse box for the tool roll is still available from MB...about 2 years ago, I ordered new fuses for about $2 and they came in what looks to me like an identical plastic box.

I do not know of a source for the stubby fuses, they have been replace by a same length fuse, with no need for the short metal adaptor.
I have not had to look for the 1 amp fuse as I do not have a radio in my car.

Hi. So what I am hearing is the 25 AMP stubbies have been replaced by full-length versions? and do they fit the original fuseholder or is some modification necessary? Thanks.

On the 230, stubby fuse top tab has a spacer riveted to it which can be removed to take normal size fuse.

There are a number of upgrade fuse kits out on ebay (use mercedes* fuse* in the search). The blue fuses are listed as the 25 amp ones, and are the same length as the others. I will have to wait and see what I get in the kit from samstag.

I will confirm our esteemed colleague Naj on the part number. That is exactly what I received. The kit contains 6 white fuses, 8 amp; 2 red fuses, 16 amp; and 1 blue fuse, 25 amp. They are all the same size.

I've always wondered what one of those stubby fuses controls? One of them is the horn and a couple of other useful features and the other one is something that I'm not even sure I have on my car.
