Title: Correct mounts ?

Gents,  I am rebuilding my engine so time to change my motormounts

Old ones are collapsed and have some sort of rubber below.

New ones are Meyle  and 58mm total height .

Are these correct replacements?

Yes these are the correct mounts. I've recently ordered and just received the identical Meyle mounts like yours.

However I'll be returning the Meyle mounts and am re-ordering the original MB mounts, following this comment from Stickandrudderman & based on his experience:
"Also, I have started only fitting genuine Mercedes engine mounts as I've had extremely premature failures of cheaper ones."

The common wisdom here seems to be that while doing the 2 engine mounts you should also replace the 3rd mount i.e. the transmission mount.

From the classic center--
The motor mounts only come as a set with new hardware, 110-220-02-17
Trans mount is now part # 120-223-04-12 $85.00 net

I am pretty sure the "rubber below" gets transferred to the new mount.  I would assume it was only on the left mount(seated in the driver's seat looking forward.) and it would act to limit the travel of the left mount which is pulled up when the engine is under a load and also keep the motor from lifting drastically if the mount ever fails. All pretty important stuff when you have solid rods for throttle linkages rather a cable.

Looking at the state of the old mounts , the engine really on the loose ;and still having no major acute problems , i think i go  for these Meyle replacements ,
but find a way to re use the rubbers below (thanks Shvegel).

My real concern is total height : can someone confirm 58mm is correct ?  can i use the original shims ?

The Meyles consistently collapsed within a week for me. Finally I rigged a soft rubber bushing between the mount and the backing plate...worked awesome fo years.
