I just received word after ordering two - 25 amp fuses for my 1970 280SL from my local Mercedes dealership that Mercedes can no longer supply these. Seems strange to me. Would appreciate direction on how I may acquire these or alternatives others have used for these stubbier higher amperage fuses.
Thanks... John

John, Buds Benz sells the stubby as part of a kit of fuses. Volvo also sells them http://www.cvi-automotive.se/en/articles/14432/6-fusebox but shipping could be costly unless you can find a closer supplier. I'm sure others will step in with other suppliers.
I see authentic classics also carry it, but its not cheap here. http://www.authenticclassics.com/25A-Short-type-Fuse-for-Mercedes-p/auth-003741.htm

If originality INSIDE the fuse box is not of concern, you can very easily drill out the spacer where the stubby fits and use a full-size correct amperage fuse that will cost only pennies but more importantly, if you blow a fuse on the road, you will find something that will fit to get you going.
