Title: Vredestein tyres - bulging on inner side walls
Post by: relbhcb on August 30, 2016, 11:32:45
Just had my 230SL go through the annual MOT (UK safety check) and there are some bulges / "bubbles" appearing on the inner side walls of the rear tyres. I bought the tyres (Vredestein Classic, 185HR14 c/w Michelin tubes) less than four years ago, and have driven less than 6,000 miles on them.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The car is kept in an unheated but dry, dark, garage in Sussex, UK.

TIA

Julian

I have Vredesteins but they are tubeless. No problems with bulging. They do have some
manufacturing marks, which are like radial indentations but my tyre guy says this is
perfectly normal.

Google it. There are reports of this but it doesn't seem to affect performance or safety.
