Hello all,
Does anyone use, or know anything about Penrite, an Australian company, which makes various oils/lubricants/greases for classic and modern cars. They have been recommended by an excellent classic car restorer here in Prague (http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products-categs.php?id_categ=14&id_subcateg=69). They do a variety of engine oils, which would be the most appropriate for our W113s? I'm leaning towards the Classic 20W-50. Any thoughts?

Penrith are well known in Australia for their oils for racing and classics and have a good reputation.
Classic 20W-50 is appropriate.

Being an Aussie accept that there may be some bias but I use penrite in our pagoda and kombi. High in zinc.. a special additive has been developed from the sweat of male kangaroos - gives engines a bit of extra bounce ;)

Thanks!

George,
I believe they have developed an extra extract from Koala Bear poo that also gives it extra grunt. I also use it in my Kombi. :P :P ;D

Poweful stuff that Koala Bear poo is .... I remember in 1984 when I spend 3 months in your fine country I went slipping and sliding on the highway in it LOL ... One good thing came from it I burned myself with my cigarette I think it was my last, then your powerful anti smoking commercial you run on TV at the time had a great deal to do with it ... I'm sure you remember
The sponge with the black juice running out and the words "your lunch is like a sponge ..... Etc ... Etc..."
:)
The jurey is still out if it was the poo, the burn from my last cigarette or the sponge that stopped the bad habit ... I'm glad I did.
Back to topic ... The oil is also available in my old home town Edmonton, Alberta and it was recommended to me by my mechanic that looked after my 1987 AMG
