does anyone know how the Blaupunkt CR 2010 radio is switched to AUX?

Ok  I've discovered that what I thought was AUX in on the radio is really an AUX out for an amp.

I modified the tape deck for ipod input but the quality is not good using this approach. lots of distortion. Decided to order the iSimple modulator for hookup via the antenna socket.

Installed the iSimple module. It is pretty easy to install. Antenna plugs into it and it plugs into the antenna socket on the radio. One wire is earthed and the red wire is +12V which I connected to the +12V on the radio. It also comes with a switch to turn it on and off. It disables the radio when on. It transmits to FM 88.3 or another FM channel.  The sound is very clear and I have not noticed any static. I useit to play from my iphone with a 3.5mm jack cable that plugs into audio leads on the device.
