I received two [quite unexpected] awards yesterday at The International Automotive Media Competition (IAMC) press conference held at The Concours of America at St. John's. These were a gold medallion for my article "A Modern Classic, the Pagoda 113" which was published in the May-June 2015 of The Star Magazine. The same article garnered the literary equivalent of "Best in Class" with a larger award (physically, a larger plaque!) for "Total Magazine Article Production".
The article sheds no new information for many of you enlightened members but does introduce the model in the style of other Star Buyer's Guides in a concise manner.
"Join the Pagoda SL Group" headlines one of the buying tips in the article... :)
(note. As I look at that photo taken by Cliff Reyle, a National Board Member of the MBCA, it appears as if that plaque is hanging from my neck! Not the case. There are two ID badges on lanyards around my neck! The plaque is a stand alone! ;D)

Congratulations Michael (where did your moustache go??), well done
It was removed in 2007 I believe...my wife told me that the day the number of white hairs in the beard/moustache exceeded the number of brown hairs--off it comes. I believe that tipping point was the summer of 2007 thus it was a Labor Day project... ;)

Well all I can recommend is "If you become a Full Member you can read some nice stories from the coffee table book of Pagoda owners in our future Pagoda World magazines" I don't think Mike has the time to work on another coffee table book since the last one was a major ,,, major project.
