Title: Engine case number question

I have a 64 230SL. My block is stamped 127.011xxxxxx. Is that correct? If not, what block is that from?

That is a correct part number casting number. You will also need to look for the specific engine number stamped high up on the left side just below the head. Have a look at the engine numbers section in the manual
