Hi all.
I have a 230 with original plastic floor mats. I would like to take these out of the car to ensure they are preserved keeping them for shows.
Can anyone recommend a set of fitted mats for daily use preferable from the UK.
Ta.
Mark.

Mark:
I just got a set of mats from cocomats.com for my early W107.
They sent me a paper template to modify and return to them, therefore I got a custom fit.
They are great people to work with and have a superior product.
They are located in South Carolina USA but I believe they will ship internationally.

Thank you.
I will look them up today.
Regards
Mark.

Hi Mark,
I used MadMatz , in UK Midlands, and I am still very pleased with the product and excellent service.
They should still have my template, but will make any thing to order.
I have tried to copy my post of 2 October 2015 here.
Keep well
Paul

I found a company MadMatz, in England, who make old style mats and carpets for
VW Beetles & old Camper vans (especially for you, Garry), but they will make anything if
sent a template.

I made a template and I am very happy with the resulting Sisal mats
two weeks later, for less than £80 including postage. The quality is excellent.
The contact is Odette, and they are keeping my Pagoda RHD template on file.
( I have no connection with them except as a happy customer)

I have also used both Mad Matz UK and Cocomats USA.
There is a difference between the mats. The UK ones are lighter in the coconut weaving but the mat has a good rubber backing and they will shape better that the US ones. The US ones however are much heavier and the cocomat is slightly courser but have a better rubber backing. They are relatively stiff and will not curve around edges very well. Something that can be a problem if you are fitting to a Pagoda with a Kinda seat and fitting the mat into the foot well in the rear. They are just fine in the front.
Both have proved to be good and I don’t have any particular preference. I used the lighter ones in my Kombi as they needed to be shaped a bit more and the finer coconut weaving allowed this to happen where the US ones would not bend around edges etc.

You can still buy the original rubber mats direct from Mercedes. I have the original plus the new set...

Cocomats already have a RHD template as we did a group buy a while ago. So you can call them/email them and get that sorted. If you need further info, PM me as I did all the ordering (and the template)
