Title: 560SL Customizing

I just purchased a 1987 560SL in Signal Red with Palomino interior.  I have a number of cars and they are all perfect OEM show cars.  I am thinking (I am no longer in my 20s 30s 40s or 50s) of maybe having some fun with this car.  I am sure all of you have seen the newer diamond stitching available in the new Benzs particularly the Designo editions (which I have owned).  The question is what are your opinions on maybe putting in a new interior with that stitching, doing the same to the door panels, and frankly making it my own.  Would you, as a great body of MB lovers, find that offensive?  I might also change the grill on this car to match the Signal Red.  Am I crazy or just suffering from mid-life crisis?
