Here is a refreshing change from hyper expensive restorations. I have had Yvette my 2cv restored over the winter for not many €€€€'s and she really is as good as new. 2cvs don't have very many parts and the few parts which they do have are as cheap as frites. All the same, doesn't she look magnifique and all set for the next 40 years.
Hope the photos attach.
Best regards
Andrew

Looks great Andrew.

These have become very very popular to own again in France. The rag-top versions are being used for tourist drives in Paris.
Looks wonderful.

Very Nice.
2cvs are one of my favourite cars. Like Kombis here in Australia they have also become highly prized.

Kampala/Oz...
4 roues sous 1 parapluie... we did a tour with them a few years back and it was spectacular. Cannot recommend it highly enough

they have a sister company here in London running (proper) mini coopers

As for Andrew's resto... that's a cool car!

Nice!
Is Yvette after Horner?
2CVs have you learn a whole new driving style. Basically it's about keeping the foot down no matter what!

Ever driven a 700cc Smart car on the highway?
Exactly the same as a 2cv only a few mph faster. One eye ALWAYS to the rear!

Yvette was named after Yvette Carte-Blanche in the BBC comedy 'Allo! 'Allo! If you have not seen it, don't rush out to buy the boxed set.
Originally Yvette was a 435cc 2cv4 with a centrifugal clutch but that just did not work on the hills around Tourrettes Sur Loup (Gael, I think you know the area well). Anyway, after a few hilarious passenger offloading situations, we had Yvette upgraded with a shiny new 602cc engine and progress is much better if not dynamic.
We don't use Yvette for long trips and crawling along the A8 can be alarming. However, I have recently found an inflatable trailer tent which the 2cv could tow and so one of my retirement plans is to take Yvette and inflatable trailer tent on an extended tour of South East Europe. My wife is very fond of Yvette but I am still some way off a binding commitment to the 2cv and trailer tent escapade.

Be warned...
There's talk of making a feature film of 'Allo 'Allo :-X
