Title: Pagoda World trivia

Just got my copy of Pagoda World, great read and pics. The trivia bit {page 11}is interesting
I checked my car and thankfully it has the small circlips, what are they for?.Cheers.Mike.

Mike, they simply keep the screws from falling out when the clamp is unfastened. Probably some MB Engineer got tired of fishing around under the intake manifold for lost clamp screws and specified a "clip" to solve the problem.

Thanks Jo,will take a look at some restored and original Pagodas next week at Essen,cannot wait to ask some

 Well, this peaked my interest so I had to go out to the garage for a look see. Got the clips that I never knew they were there ;D

You can get these clips at Ace hardware. They are used in a lot of applications.
