Not many cars will fit in my garage with the Pagoda!

Love it Larry,
Well done, will watch with interest as it is restored.

Indeed! Did you buy it in this state, or have you gotten the body work started?
-
Hi Larry,
Did you bring it back as extra baggage from your NZ trip ?

I bought the car as an unfinished project, so was much as you see it in the photo. The car had been
sat for 5 years. The good thing is that, difficult as it is to believe, the 45 year old shell has very little rust!
Also it has a disc brake conversion, the 850 motor has been replaced with a 998.
The down side is that I couldn't try the motor and having not stripped the car myself have to work out
where all the parts go!
Unlike the Pagoda there are loads of parts around and so cheap :D
Just about to remove the motor and subframes then to the paint shop. I don't like the original colour which is
Blaze (orange). The upholstery is Navy Blue so am thinking a nice blue perhaps, any suggestions?
Thanks Garry, I hope to be driving it summer 2017 :-\
Paul, couldn't find one in NZ - suitcase was full any way
-
Larry,
You could always paint it MB 334G like I am doing to my VW Kombi Single Cab Ute. :-*

Not a bad idea Garry, BL did a similar colour for the Mini :)

How about a psychedelic rainbow of colors? I had a 1977 Honda CVCC given to me in this state. Not one scratch or bubble anywhere.
Painted latex paint (not by me) over the original red paint.
