Title: Correct front grill 63 230sl

Hi all,
I am almost finished resoring my 1963 230sl, it is a us import.
I need a new front grill outer, I see one on ebay for just over £300, but it states only suitable for uk spec, not american, what's the difference?

Non. All w113 cars share the same grill.

Phil,

Just a word of caution...if this is an aftermarket grille surround it may not fit any W113.  There are mixed results with anything but genuine grille shells, so I would make sure you can return it if it does not fit properly.

When I rechromed my grill, I recall it was brass. I believe  that's what a genuine grill should be.
