Title: window crank handles -2 different?

I have 2 different window crank handles
Are they supposed to be different?

The one that has the silver is for the passenger door and the plain is for the driver

Is this supposed to be?  Are they supposed to match?

The bottom one is correct for a 280SL, and they should both be the same.  The top one does not belong to a Pagoda.  The 230SL has a different crank again, with a smaller knob and smaller diameter chrome ring.

You have to find the correct ones. Only used ones available.
You can find them since they're identical used with the sedans.

Yes, the latest version with sold black knob was actually made for the W123 chassis cars that came after the pagoda. It fits on the latest version W113 cars that have the keyhole in the back. However it only works on the latest version W113 regulators with the keyhole type attachment (no screw). The first three versions are NLA from Mercedes.

Steven, as your 280SL is a '71 I would say you need the 3rd one on the SLS site, which would correspond to the second link you posted. You can take the cover off your existing crank to see which one you have.
