Title: Brake booster vacuum hose

I could not find this part in past posts. So, does anybody know where to find the transparent white hose that goes between the brake booster and intake manifold on a 1969 280? Before, I found a 3/8 ID hose, heated it up and forced it over the couplers. Got to be a better way.

What I did with mine is replace it with a semi transparent whitish hose that you can get from Home depot in the pluming department its the same material Size and color.   If you need a new one way valve and end fittings then there is one on Autohauz AZ in black color.  Some people mentioned they would not trust the quality of the material of the hose I discovered at home depot. I personally think its the same material. for 25 feet of the hose it was around $8.

Pinder, I remember someone saying your hose wouldnt hold up. PE (Polyethylene) is used for water, Gas lines, and even hydraulic fluid return lines. I think it will be just fine.

Me too. :) I'm 99% certain its the same material Same inside diameter. Both the 69 and 70 both had the same semi transparent line used. Some say that it is supposed to be black in color but Im not convinced that is true in all cases. Probably many different types used.

My SL brothers to the rescue. Thanks! Is that OEM replacement semi transparent and cad plated? Maybe just a bad pic because the hose looks black.

Clayton, Some are black and some are white. Whenever I see an "A" before a part number I always double check the listing and description. Could be aftermarket. My early '69 has a black vacuum hose.

The one I replaced in my 1971 280SL and the one I purchased on ebay in the link I posted above are both black with the correct fittings.
