The car belongs to one of our members. I think his plan is to offer it for sale after some sympathetic restoration has been completed. I've seen the car. It's beautiful and, obviously, very original. But it's not restored, and so some people who would wish to compare a fully original car in outstanding condition with a fully restored car in better than new condition may have a problem with that, eg around dings in the doors, etc.

Like the colour,if it where mine i would leave it as it is

Hi James
Your quite right am keeping those two little dings on the car. It is part of the history and providence of the car. The photo shoot was taken two weeks after car had arrived in country. Since then as you know the car has had paint correction done is mopping with various grades of mops and polish for five days to bring back the original paint to its glorious color. Also Kevin Okeef did full engine rebuild and keeping the original factory finish and apperance to close as possible. Unfortunately the car will never be for sale and only taken out now and then for various shows. Also now have original owner period wooden skis which the daughter sent over to me. Here is couple of pictures at brookelands new years day with Naj and other members on the day.
Cheers

It's cracking, Dean. I love the colour and the history. You're a lucky chap.
I read the article the other day waiting for a friend to show up. The paintwork looks amazing now.

I agree with all that it is an amazingly beautiful example.
However James alluded to it and that is that there is considerable value associated with one owner cars in good original condition. So much so that buyers pay a premium for just that, one owner. I have difficulty getting my head around what its value is once the second owner has paid the one owner premium and now its a two owner car and the premium does not apply. Does it lose value and the fully restored car become the more sought after?? After all it is then just another multi owner car that has been very well kept :-X
Its a discussion had here before where the second owner has not registered it so that he can still call it a “one registered owner” car that really is a play on words.
