Title: Missing wife
Post by: ctaylor738 on January 20, 2016, 13:31:04
Husband: My wife  is missing. She went shopping
yesterday and has not come  home...

Sergeant  at Police Station:
What is  her height?

Husband:
Gee,   I'm not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

Sergeant:
Weight?

Husband:
Don't  know. Not slim, not really fat.

Sergeant:
Color  of eyes?

Husband:
Sort  of brown I think. Never really noticed.

Sergeant:
Color  of hair?

Husband:
Changes  a couple times a year.
Maybe dark brown now. I  can’t remember.

Sergeant:
What  was she wearing?

Husband:
Could  have been pants, or maybe a skirt or shorts. I don't  know exactly.

Sergeant:
What  kind of car was she driving?

Husband:
She was driving my Pagoda.

Sergeant:
What is a Pagoda?

Husband:
It’s a two-seat car made by Mercedes from 1963 ’til 1971.  There were three distinct models: 230SL, 250SL, and 280SL.  All had mechanical injection.  Transmissions offered were 4- and 5-speeds, and 4-speed automatics.  Interiors were vinyl called “MB Tex,” or leather.  Mine is a 1970 280SL, silver with black leather interior, automatic transmission.  It has a sedan differential, 3.27:1 ratio for better highway driving.  It’s a nice car, but the driver’s door moulding isn’t quite right, and the trunk lock shows some wear.  The interior wood is a bit too shiny, and …

At this point the husband starts choking  up. .  .

Sergeant:

Don't  worry, sir. We'll find your Pagoda.
