A00115421317 Transmission Pressure Switch which truggers the Constant speed solenoid, seems to be unobtainable . Has anyone found a source or a functional alternative?
I, like many others are looking to replace both, but cannot find any.
Any help would be hugely appreciated as the car is close to undrivable without them.
Are we all destined to stop driving our early Mercs because of this unobtainable part?

No. A good used part will get you going again. Any sedan, coupe, or SL from that time period with a similar trans will work.

Has anyone worked out the specification of the Mercedes part so a search can be done for a compatible unit? I understand the original switch is Normally Open (NO) and closes at around 9 bar or 130psi. Is that correct?

If you run a search on pressure switch you will see quite a few posts on this subject, including ones where the pressure and other specs are discussed. Seems odd that such an important, and frequently failing, part would be NLA but I guess it is. Glad I was able to buy a new one 6 or so years ago when one of mine failed.

I have them in stock. £232.00 plus VAT & shipping.

I've been searching for the A001154421317 pressure switches at a sensible cost all through the break, and have found an alternative part number from VDO that appears to be correct according to some source.
VDO TRANSMISSION OIL PRESSURE SENDER 002 542 09 17 seems to be the OEM version of the Mercedes A001154421317 unit.
Can anyone confirm this as correct or otherwise?
These appear to be available via the Mercedes networks for substantially lower cost than those being offered by our UK members.
