Title: Left hand drive / Right hand drive Pagoda sale price comparison?

I wanted to ask if a left hand drive and right hand drive Pagoda were very different in price? If they have both been refurbished to the same standard, would they fetch very different prices if they were sold?

Also which is more desirable out of the two.

Around the world clearly left hand drive vehicles are more desirable.
At the top end RHD remains in the minority.
Why pidgeon hole themselves when they are in the business of restoring and selling cars worldwide.
In Germany many highly restored LHD cars are for sale for 269.000 euro...equates to £200.000 / $300.000 price tags
I presume you have to pay 20% MSWT  tax on top of this ! crikey ..
Check out the Brabus classics vehicles for sale.
Also the last motoring investment USA restored vehicle was LHD at i think $259.000 ,i dont know what it eventually sold for but the guy had a good turnover of cars.
You and i could never achieve anything close to these figures but to some people who desire the finest its just spare change.
Does anybody know of any RHD vehicles that have been any where near these crazy price tags?

When I was able to compare prices between the UK and Netherlands, because I subscribed to car magazines from both countries, it always seemed that RHD cars were pricier than similar condition Dutch cars. This is a few years ago, so don't know the current market conditions. It's supply and demand of course.

I think it was quite often the case that in the UK a RHD vehicle was worth more but to me it seems that is becoming less important as classic car values rise, and I wonder if the internet has had some effect in that a lot of cars advertised in the UK find their way into Europe and so LHD is more beneficial.

It has never bothered me either way if a car is RHD or LHD, and personally  I wouldn't pay more for a RHD car in the same condition. We get a few enquiries a year asking about converting Corvettes to RHD, something I have little or no interest in doing, and funnily enough the few that I have seen done and that come up for sale really bomb in value over here.

The only time a LHD car is a pain in the UK is when going in to multi story car parks, even then most times you can reach across or get out and walk round. The roads in this country are too small and crowded to overtake any more so you don't even need to see past anything....

My SL is LHD but that wasn't even a factor when I bought it, never even gave it a second thought.

Ditto to Scott. Doesn't concern me at all. I'd buy on condition and price. I've had RHD cars in Europe for years and a LHD car in the UK. Never been a problem.

In comparing prices, I've noticed that RHD drive cars seem to be more expensive than LHD cars, I agree it's clearly a supply and demand situation.

On another note, when I was living in South Africa I was looking at RHD Pagodas there, they were on average selling for the equivalent of around £25K to £30K a few years ago. The one dealer I knew in SA then started exporting these cars to the UK as demand was picking up; those same cars were then selling for about £75K to £100K in the UK. Someone's making a tidy little profit on these cars.....
