Hi, can anyone help with the above plse. The 1972 280SE 3.5 that I have bought recently has one of these and a separate amplifier in it. I have taken the radio to a local guy who is pretty good on repairing these but he says he will need a schematic. I have tried Blaupunkt, they don't have anything that old but they gave me contact details of 4 german companies who specialise in oldtimer radios. None of them replied to my queries.

I recently purchased a Blaupunkt manual, but not sure what model. I am traveling right now, but will be back this weekend and will check and post, if someone has not already found what you are looking for.

Have you tried the Radio Museum? ---- not sure if they have what you need but you may be able to dig around or place a request.

First of all thanks Kampala, yes i did, have found a picture of my model but can't see how to go further, i contacted them and they said to go back to the website but not sure how to put an enquiry in. It says to do this from where the model picture is but I can't see how you do this.
Secondly, thanks Jonny, mine is a New York (S), circa 1972 I think because that is the age of the car and I think the car came to NZ with the radio already fitted. Here is a photos attached of the amplifier and the radio. There are some numbers on the side of it.

I did check the manual I had found. It is for a Blaupunkt Frankfurt. It does contain the full schematic, so you may be able to find one on ebay.

thanks Jonny

Jonny, can you scan the schematic (in sections if need be) and let Rodger have a copy? Just thinking.
-
Don't think a schematic for a Blaupunkt Frankfurt would help with the New York.
In any case, Rodger, if you would like a copy I can send a copy.
-
Perhaps you are right Jonny ... On the other hand it may help the technishion to solve the problem, one never knows. The differences between the two should be very minor I would think.

There are a few search results.
Check the images when you do a search for BlauPunkt New York Schematic 1972.
Several images there.
However you need a model number from your radio.
With the images, are the options of seeing the image or visit the website.

Thanks for the replies, Jonny, I don't think there is much point in copying your schematic thanks. One of the frustrating things is that Blaupunkt used the model name "New Yorker" numerous times over the years for different models.
I am getting the radio back tomoroow or shortly after that from the repair guy and will copy the numbers on the side out again, however these are not really definitive. Will post a picture of the numbers on the side. Thanks for the interest to date
cheers
