Guys,
Slightly embarrassing question.
I have a 1m black fabric covered rubber hose that I sourced well over a year ago from one of the usual suppliers - but I wasn't very diligent back then and now I don't know if it is a fuel hose or a brake booster hose?
It has 197209 printed on it.
I.D is approx. 12mm and O.D is approx. 18mm
Can someone help identify it for me?
I don't suppose they are interchangeable?
Thanks

Rob,
Here is a photo of my original 280SL brake booster and original hose and also my 230 with the new MB hose. I suspect it will be your brake booster hose.

Hi, Rob,
Since the brake booster hose is a vacuum hose, there is a woven steel lining between the layers of rubber.
The fuel hose should not have this insert.

Thanks Naj, (and Garry)
Makes perfect sense. It is in fact a brake booster hose.
