Title: fuel problems cold start valve on the manifold
Post by: Madmerc on November 12, 2015, 09:31:57
im having problems starting the 230sl  I have sorted out the timing issues now,  for fuel problems I am getting plenty of fuel to the injection pump but the fuel line to the cold start is pretty dry blowing some air bubbles ,should there be plenty of fuel in this line .thanks

I want to make sure that I  have the fuel lines correct I just swaped them over the large fuel line goes to the large fuel filter  and the smaller fuel line goes to the smaller fuel filter under the injection pump .hope that's right.

You should have full pressure at the cold start valve.

Sounds like you have the lines correct now.  There's no "small filter" under the pump.  I think you are talking about the modulator/regulator.

I thought that thing is a fuel damper and it's supposed to remove pulsations in the fuel line going back to the tank. It could also be a hockey puck that fell into the engine bay.  ;)

We yanks sometimes call it a modulator. :-)
