Title: help i blew a ballast

hi all I blew a ballast don't no why can anyone tell me whats wron .is it normal for them to get real hot .thanks

Yes these run very hot, that is why the housing is ceramic.  Make sure you have the correct ballast resistor for your coil, or your ignition points will not last long.
