Stopped for a nice lunch in the sun after a nice drive up from Melbourne to near Garry's country ranch & then me, Garry & Mike - in front of Mike's totally original 1968 2+2

Just had the underside of my car cleaned up as it was left relatively untouched since I purchased it, and what do I do?........drive on a dirt road of course ???
Lovely day for it at least.

Both looking lovely Rob. Did the wife drive the Alfa up?
At the next "coffee & cars" meet - let's organise a little convoy next year
No driving today in Melbourne for me - predicted to be a sunny 39C - too hot for a human in a convertible (and the maybe the car as well!)

Hi Mark,
Yes a nice drive before/after our gathering would be apt.
Had my daughter and nephew join me on the drive - we all took turns to drive and take photos. The young ones concur that the Pagoda is the 'looker' but the Alfa is the more fun to drive.
I must say when the Pagoda was in my hands (shifting manually) it was right with the Alfa up and down the mountain ...............then again the Alfa wasn't in my hands :)
Both cars enjoyed the drive more than we did - Pagoda is running a little rich for my liking (aren't they all) so I have it booked in with Classique to have that addressed. I also got a blast from the gas tank when removing the cap when I topped up with fuel - never had that before to that extent. Read some posts about it and was wondering if the vent is blocked. I poked a 2ft wire up the vent this morning (seemed to go through OK) and then took it for a 30min drive - no blast from the cap afterwards so not sure what is going on there. Tank is only 1/4 full - Might try again on a hotter day.
Happy New Year and see you soon.

Our next coffee gathering will be in February. I agree and so has another of our gathers that a run would be nice but I don’t have the time at the moment to arrange it with trial run etc.
Do either of you or another member from Melb want to step up to the block and arrange. I have the mailing list and can send it out to all. I also have some details about the coffee houses that have been suggested.

Good idea Garry,
I'll try work something out with Mark - I need to sort out my travel plans so I have no idea yet if I will be in country then.
Loved your video BTW
Cheers

Agree as well (sorry Garry only to respond now).
Returning to fulltime work is harder than I expected - lack of time!
I will call you later this week to chat.
cheers
