Has anyone seen this on left side of motor? A petcock attached by a tube to the head.

I was kind of shocked that this was there, it was hidden beneath other accessories on the engine and the way it looked I thought someone put it there in place of something else.

I may be looking at the wrong item but I don't see the petcock in Garry's photo.

Mind you that photo is worthy of being framed on my wall.  What a lovely engine.

I'm assuming that the hose and petcock in Mr. Henderson's photo was installed by someone who wanted to flush the engine block.  I have seen something similar on an old british car where the frost plug used to reside.

Aaha, now I see what you are saying, no there is none on mine and it is not normal as far as I know, but others see lots more motors then me. and can chime n.

Ian, I wish it was still like this after three years but I drive as much as I can so it was only beautiful once. 8)

Apparently someone added the petcock as an external way to cut off hot engine water from going through the heater core.

I think you might have answered a question that I had about this car. That is why I have no levers on the dashboard.
