Hi James. I and my friend Tim from the states will be there, along with Martijn and his friend Willem.

We are driving from NL on Thursday and will be there Friday and Saturday.

Hope to see you and your car there!

Hi James,

Willem and I will be there on Friday only. You’ve met Willem at the first European Event in 2010. We will travel together with Brian and Tim. Also two other Dutch car guys will join us. They don’t drive a Pagoda (yet?).

What would be a good meeting point? Close to the pedestrian bridge where the shopping area is. Or the Tesco shop?

I thought the grass banking on the approach to the tunnel right by the Goodwood shop was a particularly good spot for people watching - I certainly plan to have my picnic there again on Saturday

I know what you mean. That's a good spot, indeed. If you won't be there on Friday, you might meet Brian on Saturday.
In any case, have fun. It will be a great event.

There were quite a few Pagodas in the tax free parking - one of which still sported last years rally plate
I carded a few, including a Welsh Copper 230. Not seen copper before and it is stunning!!

I confess I was spared the testing journey to and from Goodwood courtesy of friends in low places, and so never had a chance to look around the car park, which is generally one of the most interesting bits.

Spent lots of time ogling Ferraris in the paddock (I know nothing about them but at race control a friend who knows a great deal about them and their prices conservatively reckoned that the combined worth of that particular small patch of Goodwood was around $150-200M (see photo)).

I've also never seen so many Spitfires in one place in my life. It was wonderful to see them.

Oh, and over breakfast (I got there really early) I watched a 300SL thrashing around the track and leaving most of the competition in its rear view mirror. Amazing.

Two of those Ferraris had a coming together this afternoon, with one spinning out before the chicane, while racing at full beans for 1st spot. Bit of a ding in the rear wing.

Sunday pm sees the most expensive grid ever assembled, including modern F1!

This morning a shelby cobra went straight through the chicane. I am sure a front clip for one of those is readily available.

And T spent a fortune...

Again it was a great event. More crowded than last year though.
Too bad we didn't met each other. I expected that you would only be there on Saturday.
When we left I spotted your car in the historic parking.

Martijn
Great pictures
Question: on you tunnel crossing you shot two "disguised" cars at the flexi+ hut. What were they? I ask as in the summer I trailed two Land Rover Disco Sports (the Freelander replacement) back up to the chunnel. I thought it odd as the car was recently launched!

Martijn, What a great set of photos.  I really hope to make it to Goodwood next year.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I really like to take photos and share them with others.

Raymond, I can highly recommend to go to Goodwood Revival. Possibly the best classic car event in Europe.

James, the disguised cars are probably the new Jaguar F-Pace. Announced yesterday at the IAA in Frankfurt. http://www.jaguar.co.uk/index.html (http://www.jaguar.co.uk/index.html)
I took the shots with a zoom lens. There was no time to have a look up close, but I am pretty sure those were Jaguars.

I am not quite as fast and efficient as my friend Martijn, but here, belatedly, are my contributions to the Goodwood Revival. Enjoy!

Great pictures, that's one hell of a car park.

The Mustang there must have been registered just before my Mercedes, my number is BOE117B
