Title: Recommended Clutch/Brake Fluid

Is DOT 4 the correct Clutch/Brake fluid for the 1970 280SL? My mechanic had asked me to pick up DOT 3, but I had understood that DOT 4 was the proper fluid. Can someone set me straight? ???

Yes DOT 4 is the right fluid for your car. I've just redone the whole braking system on my 1971 280SL, and this was the first thing I checked prior to commencing the work.
