Yesterday as I was at the tire shop I snapped a picture of my Blue Tornado as I waited for service. I then noticed that the passengier side of my hood was not properly closed (standing up about 1/4 inch). I went out to investigate and found one of the 4 hood latch screws sitting on the engine cover and the other three screws loose. I borroed a Philipshead screwdriver and corrected it. All is well now.
I have no idea how long that one screw was sitting upsidedown on the engine cover, looks like my engine is running fairly smooth now compared to when it might have been rough and rattled those screws loose. If it happens again I have to find my locktighte ;)
Just like to share and giving you fellows the heads up here check your fasteners ... Guess over time everything gets loose :)

I posted about this during the 2010 event during a wet lunch half way through France. Larry, Norma and co had a nice, dry lunch.
Common fault. Very strongly recommend use of thread or even stud lock. Like me.
A timely reminder.

Not to steal the thread, but I am in the middle of shopping for tires. If you were there to buy tires I am curious as to what tires you decided to buy, Thanks, Chumps

Maybe I'm the odd guy out around here, but I refuse to use thread locker on any of my cars. I more often use anti-sieze. I've had cars back in 25 years after I worked on them having gone through three new owners, and I'm always glad that I did. Properly fastened, few things will work their way loose on a pagoda.
