"Factory weld marks on fenders"
(Alongside gaping rust holes!)
At least it does have its original underdash panel!

I think my favorite part of the ad is...
Impossible to find in this sort of shape
-
I think it is quite possible to find another one in similar shape, just with all the problems "hidden".
This one looks like she has never been worked on and is complete as far as I can tell. Better than running into a "Bondo-Benz".
You know what you are getting into! Yes indeed a full resto.

An unfortunate consequence of the rising prices (see the Gooding Auction at Amelia) of the Pagoda is that a lot of needy, long neglected and otherwise cars too far gone are emerging from "barns", garages, backyards, storage lockers and more. Sellers and flippers seem to think that they have struck gold and are asking alarmingly high prices for astoundingly terrible hardware.
The old maxims still hold true. Never buy one sight unseen, and buy the best you can afford.
If a full restoration project is what you want, such as that offered by this car here, or the other one on eBay at the same price (sans engine!) my suggestion (FWIW) is buy an old Brit--such as an MG, or Triumph. Despite their orphan status, the parts are as plentiful, relatively inexpensive, and you can have as much fun with that as a Pagoda. The kind of restoration indicated here on this Pagoda will test your bank account for certain.

Looks like it was found in the ocean rather than near it. Best check the glove compartment for otters and sponge bob square pants, which nicely sums up the nature of the car.
-
I second what Michael says. Buy the best you can afford.

Question for Michael Salemi: Those , like me who have seen your beautiful car at the PUB a couple of years ago, are amazed at the detail of originality. I know it took years for you to pull that off, and you had a great car to begin with. You mentioned that it might be better to buy an MG or other type car to restore with more reasonable supply and parts prices. My honest question, is " with what is going on with the parts prices of our cars, would you do it all over again, with your car, if you had to start your restoration today?"

I would say the colour is officially 'Moss green'' ::)

This one looks to be quite a nice one to continue working on presuming "all" parts are available. There is no reserve on the price.
