Thats a little beauty garry. Very practical. It reminded me that just before i got the pagoda i came very close to a mercedes 170v. Wish i could have had both.

Cool! Years ago, I had a 1967 split window double cab pickup in a darker blue. I loved the looks, but it was slow, so slow....

Isn't that one unbelievable looking VW?
Awesome color, hope it drives good.

It has had some modifications that include a rise from 1.6 to a 2 litre motor and disk brakes all round rather than drum. Two owners, the last one for 20 years and all rust removed and an engine rebuild professionally done about 5 years ago so fingers crossed that it should be in good shape.

Garry,
Are you keeping it as is or you will turn it into a Samba? ;)

I wish, but they are ten times the price. :o :o

Hey Gary,
A Pagoda and a Single Cab ute - a winning combination.
Mine is a 73 with a 2.0L engine. You will not have any trouble keeping up with traffic.
Welcome to the Pagoda/SC sub club. Apart from the obvious, driving the ute and the pagoda are similar - when we drive the pagoda, we smile a lot and people wave, when we drive the VW, we grin and laugh and people give the thumbs up. Both are great fun.
enjoy

Thanks George.
Had been looking for some time for a SC Kombi.
Am taking the Kombi Camper up to Cairns then to Alice Springs and back in May/Aug and will then sell it and have the SC as the keeper with my 230SL. They are a great pair.

Sounds like a plan.
You are welcome to stay for a night or so when passing through, and of course I know of a great local mechanic should the worst happen.
Cheers
George
