I trying to figure out my date of manufacture of my car.
In the middle of my data card appears to be a machine printed date dd.mm.yy (numeric)
At the bottom right is another date dd.mmm.yyyy Month in alpha. This date is 25 days in the future of the above date.
To me it would appear that the date in the middle of the card is manufacture date.
And the date at the bottom right is dealer delivery date.
? Can someone confirm this.
Thanks
Kay

Thanks I think I've got it now.!

Kay,
There is NO date of manufacture on our data cards. Not at all!
Mercedes had avoided that like hell. :o
You'll find several dates on the data card: the stamped date on the "date of delivery" (Tag der Auslieferung).
All the other ones are "background" stamp dates of the little company that made the (empty) data cards themselves.
Has nothing to do with the car's date ov manufacture itself.
So, don't get fooled by this.

Hello Achim,
isn't the date of the delivery just as interesting as the date of manufacture? Obviously the car had to be manufactured before it was delivered, and I presume the company would deliver it as soon after manufacture as possible. Or?

Thanks Achim,
I believe the 2 dates are probably date of delivery and in my case date of registration.
Anyways thanks for clearing that up.
