I bought a newly chromed set of bezels for my '69 with the AN headlight doors. I'm trying to switch out the lens assembly to the new bezels, but I can't seem to "pop out" the plastic lens assembly from the old bezels. I have unfastened the screw that connects through the middle of the lens to the top of the light fixture. The top part of the lens assembly seems to give from the top of the bezel, but the bottom still seems attached. Is this as simple as just popping them out?
The second picture below shows my existing lens assembly with bezel next to new bezel.
I have tried to search the forum as well prior to posting.

I don't think they can be separated. I tried on mine and it looks like it is molded in place.

The plastic portion of the lens is heat-molded into place, just as the early tail lights are. I don't think you will be able to do what you want to do. Who sold you the chrome, and what do they say about this?

Ah well, you live and you learn. Caveat Emptor in my case.

I was able to remove the bezels from the plastic doors without damaging them when I converted to euro lights. I gave the doors to dseretakis, I'm not sure if he installed them already. It can be done, just make sure not to crack the plastic!

I was able to remove the bezels from the plastic doors without damaging them ...
How did you do this?
