Title: door handle pushbutton spring
Post by: Jkalplus1 on February 17, 2015, 17:33:11
Does anyone know if the spring that loads the pushbutton to our door handles is the same size, length, etc in all Mercedes cars of the same vintage as our cars? I need one of the springs replaced and wondered if any 60s junkyard MB door handle would have the spring I need. I know the actual handles look different between the models, but are the mechanisms also different?
Also: will pay if you have one you can send my way.
Thanks,
Jerome

Jerome,

I am pretty certain that I have one but will not be back to the shed until Friday and will have a look in my box of tricks.

Garry,
Thanks, but my car is LHD, not sure your spring will work.  :D
Seriously, I really appreciate it. Let me know when you are ready and I will PayPal you.

Jerome:  I'm pretty sure I have a tatty but complete door handle; it is sitting under my winter-stored Pagoda in a tray.  If you still need one let me know and I can easily dig it out.  Jon

I have put it in the mail to you.

Enjoy
