This has probably been discussed many times, but since I don't know what to call it, I can't efficiently search for discussion threads.
The harness cover shown in the next to last photo in this post (http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=18284.msg156107#msg156107) near the right rear tail lamp does not exist in my 1967 230SL. There are not even any screw holes in the trunk floor for one. My trunk floor harness is held in place only by little asphalt squares and is covered only by the rubber floor mat. See the photo.
Is this normal?

Tom,
that is correct, just four squares to hold the cable in the groove.

Tom,
my harness is laid out exactly as yours in my '65. No screw holes and held in place by the squares.
