Too bad he didn't know about the access from the trans tunnel.

The videos on the 300 SEL 6.3 are very interesting and relevant.

Naj, I wonder why one of the fuses didn't burn out, when she touched metal with the electric switch? I don't understand why  it would blow the whole wiring harness. That is what our fuses are for. Seems like a big job for the wiring harness replacement.

I believe there is an unfused live wire on the light switch

That car seems have been resprayed in the past  : interior dash : braun color and external body : red color....
But that is an interesting barn find!
