Title: double acting solenoid
Post by: curtis on December 10, 2014, 17:49:30
if you could help. on the transmission junction block mounted on the transmission. has three screws small medium and large. small being ground medium also being a ground and the large being the positive according to the technical manual here. when I check all three screws with wires attach I get a ground on the small screw then on the middle screw I have a positive and then on the large screw is a ground.  fuses all check out good.  all the wires are install right with the correct eye holes only allowing to fit to the three screws.

Curtis,

I moved your post here as this is where it belongs, and where more people will see it. What exactly is it you are asking?

Are your Red/Green wires mixed up? (See http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Automatic/Start)

Peter

Not sure how you are testing. But in order to get an accurate reading, wires typically should be disconnected from the terminal. That is the case in most electrical tests with wire circuts. Not sure what your question is either.

peter van Es thank you for putting this in the right section for me. I was able to figure out everything I need to know about the three position solenoid.  I was wondering if you may know were I could get a valve body for my transmission. I have a 1969 280sL. the valve body I have has two different numbers on it. 112 277 1901 and 112 277 2301. I am looking for a reman and or a used one. again thank you for your help.
